About Us
Traverse City First Church of the Nazarene through our local Nazarene Missions International supports the church wide efforts in missions as outlined by the General Church as follows:
* "NMI is the organizational representative of missions for the Church of the Nazarene on the regional, district, and local levels."
* "NMI is the promotional, educational, program, and fund-raising arm of missions. "
* NMI is the organization that "provides the structure and spiritual dynamic for mobilizing the church in mission."
Our Mission
To mobilize the church in mission through prayer, education, giving, and interactive experiences.
Our Objectives
To encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelization
To inform people of the world's needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs
To challenge children and youth to learn about and participate in the mission of the church
To raise funds for mission outreach.
Traverse City Nazarene Church supports our missionaries world wide through offerings throughout the year and the World Evangelism budget.
Crisis Care Kits are collected on a yearly basis and are sent to places of need throughout the world
Six Traverse City Nazarenes (Jan Crockett, Pastor Rick & Jill Rice, Jerry & Marge Ritter, and Beverly Wojciechowski) go on the Northern Michigan District work &witness mission to Africa. Press Kenya, Africa button, Top Navigation Menu.
